In 2019, 21 organizations carried out scientific researches and developments, which is by 23.5% (4 organizations) more than the corresponding indicator of the last year.
In 2019, the number of innovatively active industrial enterprises increased by 17.4% (4 enterprises) and amounted to 27 units (12th place in Ukraine). In 2019, 17 industrial enterprises of the region implemented 36 new technological processes (10th place in Ukraine) and 110 names of innovative products (8th place in Ukraine) into their production. Donetsk region took the 3rd place in terms of innovation costs of industrial enterprises (1399.7 million UAH), which is by 1.9 times more than the corresponding indicator in 2018. The innovation costs at the expense of own funds of enterprises amounted to 99.5%.
According to the number of industrial enterprises that sold innovative products (goods, services), Donetsk region is on the 13th place, but according to the volume of the sold products it is on the 1st place (14 689.7 million UAH).
